Our editorial method

How we rate

Our method for reading Curaçao bookmakers’ terms starts with the licence record and the conditions attached to a bet or balance. We explain what each document establishes and where the evidence stops.

We assess evidence without awarding scores

We publish a finding about a particular question, not a composite mark for an operator. For a bet on a postponed match, that means locating the relevant rule and explaining when the operator says it will void or settle the ticket. It does not require a general verdict on every sports market or a claim that we placed a bet.

The same method applies to an appealing offer and an unattractive restriction. The question is whether a reader can identify the actual condition and understand its consequence. An unresolved restriction cannot be offset by a large bonus or an extensive list of sports.

Identify the business and the domain

Start with the legal operator named in the site's terms. Compare it with the relevant regulator record and check the status, scope and exact domain. Under the CGA certification policy, a company Licence Certificate and a domain-specific Certificate of Operation serve different purposes.

For readers in Great Britain, also assess the applicable Gambling Commission authorisation. Accessibility, a sterling wallet and the absence of a country restriction are not substitutes for the Commission's licensing requirements. We do not infer authorisation from a functioning registration form.

Read the sports contract

Identify the market, period of play, accepted price and relevant exceptions. Particular attention goes to postponements, abandoned events, void selections, cash-out and result corrections. A general account policy cannot answer every question about an individual sport.

An odds comparison needs the same event, market and timing. A promotional boost needs its own eligibility and stake limits. Without equivalent conditions and a defined observation period, we do not describe one sportsbook as offering better prices overall.

Follow the money through the terms

Read bonus eligibility, wagering calculations, expiry and withdrawal caps together. Separate sports conditions from casino conditions. Check the order in which balances fund a bet and the effect of cancelling a promotion or transferring money between products.

For withdrawals, distinguish verification, approval, payment processing and receipt. Record method limits, fees and timeframes alongside any conditions that delay the start of the quoted period. Operator wording can support a statement about a policy; it cannot prove payment speed or reliability in practice.

Keep uncertainty visible

A finding should identify its source, the date checked and the question it answers. Conflicting clauses, inaccessible certificates and unclear restrictions remain unresolved until suitable evidence answers them. We do not fill those gaps with assumptions based on a brand's appearance or popularity.

The main guide's Cosmobet and Zizobet examples concern particular published clauses. They are neither current licence certifications nor endorsements. Readers can follow the source links to examine the full context. The guide contains no simulated customer reviews, invented support conversations or claims of personal betting experience.

From source to finding

A bonus cap is not a payout promise

Cosmobet’s general terms publish different withdrawal limits for deposit-bonus winnings and sports free bets. Those clauses let us explain a condition, not predict a customer’s payout.

The record
Clause 7.2 limits winnings generated from deposit bonuses to ten times the qualifying deposit. Clause 7.9 limits withdrawals from a sports free bet to fifteen times the free-bet amount.
The consequence
For an illustrative £20 qualifying deposit or £20 sports free bet, the respective ceilings would be £200 and £300 if those clauses apply. A ceiling does not mean either amount was won or will be paid.
Still unknown
Eligibility for the particular offer, any other applicable restrictions, the balance that funded a bet and the outcome of an individual withdrawal require separate evidence.

Questions about our assessments

Do player complaints affect your assessment of a betting site?

A complaint can identify a question worth investigating, such as how a withdrawal cap was applied. It cannot establish the outcome on its own. The relevant evidence includes the ticket or transaction, applicable terms, the operator's explanation and any documented resolution. We distinguish a player's reported experience from an established finding and do not turn an allegation into a site-wide verdict.

What if live chat promises something different from the written terms?

That is an unresolved conflict, rather than a confirmed exception. Keep the full exchange and ask whether the promise applies to your specific account, offer or ticket. A reply about a different promotion may explain the mismatch; an authorised exception needs clear written confirmation. Our assessment should show both statements and the unresolved point, instead of selecting whichever answer looks more favourable.
